My story
Quality Assurance wasn't something I originally planned to build a career in, it was something I naturally gravitated towards.
My journey began over 19 years ago when I joined Pastel Payroll (now Sage) as a software consultant. Working closely with customers every day gave me a deep understanding of how software should work in the real world. I became fascinated by the way the product functioned and, more importantly, how the user experienced it. That curiosity soon led me into my first Quality Assurance role, and I haven't looked back since.
From that moment, testing became far more than simply finding bugs. I discovered a passion for improving software, understanding user behaviour, preventing problems before they happened, and helping development teams deliver products they could be proud of.
As my career progressed, I became a trusted member of engineering and product teams, working across payroll, HR, SaaS and cybersecurity platforms. In 2023 I joined XCD and recently CyberVerse, where I expanded my experience into QA leadership and cybersecurity testing.
I've had the privilege of working with organisations of all sizes, helping them build quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle. I've led QA teams, introduced Agile testing practices, improved testing processes, mentored testers and worked alongside developers, product managers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software on time.
What sets me apart is my ability to see the bigger picture.
I don't just test software, I understand products, business goals and customer expectations. My experience across multiple disciplines allows me to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, helping everyone work towards the same objective: delivering software that customers can trust.
Quality Assurance should never be seen as a final checkpoint. It should be embedded throughout the entire development process, reducing risk, improving efficiency and creating better products from the very beginning.
I'm also passionate about continuous improvement and embracing modern technology. Whether it's leveraging AI to accelerate testing, refining QA strategies, or introducing smarter ways of working, I'm always looking for opportunities to help teams become more efficient without compromising quality.
Every project is about more than testing software. It's about building confidence in the product, in the team, and ultimately in the experience the customers receive.
